BSF Sub Inspector Recruitment 2023
The Border Security Force (BSF) has announced a recruitment drive for the post of Sub Inspector (SI). The vacancies are available in the Works and Water Wing branches. The online application process will start on 10 July 2023 and the last date to apply is 22 July 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
The following are the eligibility criteria for the BSF SI recruitment 2023
- Age: The candidate must have been born between 21 May 1993 and 20 May 2003.
- Educational qualification: The candidate must have a diploma in engineering from a recognized institute.
- Physical standards: The candidate must meet the physical standards laid down by the BSF.
- Relaxation in age and educational qualification: Relaxation in age and educational qualification is available to SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per government rules.

- Physical efficiency test (PET)

- Written Examination
The written examination will be a computer-based test (CBT). The exam will be conducted in two stages: Stage 1 and Stage 2.
Stage 1: The Stage 1 exam will consist of 100 questions of multiple choice type.

Mathematics
Reasoning
Stage 2: The Stage 2 exam will consist of 100 questions of multiple choice type.
Engineering subjects
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The PET will consist of the following events
100 meters race
200 meters race
Long jump
High jump
Shot put
Medical Examination
The medical examination will be conducted to check the physical fitness of the candidates.
Salary and Benefits
The selected candidates will be appointed as Sub Inspectors in the BSF. The initial salary of a BSF Sub Inspector is Rs. 35,400 per month. The salary will increase with the promotion of the candidate.
